Yeah, I was in high school when Duran Duran was a major band (so, yeah, bite me). But apparently, all these bands from the 80s are making a comeback (The Cars in May!!), so why not them. Their latest album is actually quite good. Here is All You Need is Now, directed by David Lynch:

We are definitely from the same demographic…these guys were bigger than the Beatles in high school (or at least, it seemed that way). Great find…great new tune. Will definitely pick up.

The whole album is great. Might have something to do with having Mark Ronson as producer. And yeah, these guys were huge when I was in HS too (and ll the girls were in love with Simon LeBon)… aah the days before Autotune ruined bad music! :-)

Duran Duran is a classic example of a band that rose to prominence in the 80s whose best music was actually AFTER the 80s. Which makes me wonder why people call them an 80s band. Highlights of their post-80s career: “Ordinary world”, “Come Undone”, “Breath after Breath”, “Beautiful Colors”, and “Falling Down”. Need i say more?
