    Excellent visual. Students have a hard time believing it when I tell them the Obama administration is actually ramping up the War on Drugs, even larger than it was during the W. Bush years.

    No wonder he got “shellacked” yesterday.

      Actually, students often have the vaguest idea as to what the War on Drugs is. They are not aware of the main legal apparatus (mandatory minimums, forfeiture, and all). I used to show them the Frontline episode called Snitch (it’s a bit dated now). They usually could not believe it (especially the part where the “experts” explain that all it takes to get a person indicted is one snitch).
