The Cool Visual Du Jour – Exports to China Edition

We often think of trade with China in terms of imports, what we get from them, the graph below, from Visual Economics, shows the exports to China (click on the image or the link for large version):

Also note what kinds of goods are exported there: computers and electronics. Isn’t this surprising? One would think that stuff is made there. I already knew about the waste and scrap (that’s part of using the periphery as garbage dump). It is also well-known that the US exports a lot of corn. But computers and electronics?
