Via The Everyday Sociology Blog: I am a bit disappointed that only one of them mentioned the critical aspect of sociology. Is that no longer an important aspect, as opposed to “it will be useful for your life and career”… geez, so utilitarian! But then, this seems to be how education is perceived these days.
