This is insane, of course. These Zimbabwean dollars are worth nothing. Bottom line, the prices of goods are now 213 million times what they were a year ago… and that’s according to official statistics, which means that inflation is probably worse than that. In this country that used to be the main food producer of Africa, a loaf of bread costs between $7,000 and $10,000. Printing money seems to be the only thing the government can think of in terms of economic policy, with expected consequences.

There is no other solution out of this than to start from scratch economically and politically. Mugabe and his cronies have to go.
