The Shock Doctrine – The Video

June 21st, 2008 by SocProf and tagged , , , , ,

Be afraid, be VERY afraid. These 7 minutes you will spend watching this video will be more important than – and a necessary antidote to – hours of cable news. Also check out Naomi Klein’s website.

Nothing like waking up to a warm cup of coffee on a quiet Sunday, and then watching this video as the first thing you do. You kinda think to yourself “Man, I should be drinking gasoline”

Anyway, the video looks awesome, I have seen “No Logo” and “The Corporation” (Naomi Klein is in both) and I guess this will be excellent too.

Dangger, if you have not done so, you should also watch The Take, another documentary by Naomi Klein. It’s outstanding.
