Brad, it's even better than you think, trust me. And there is definitely a place for it in the sociology curriculum.

There is a lot of non-boring stuff about good research design (especially when one asks respondents about their sexual and drug practices), a lot about social problems, health issues (of course), public policy and globalization.

And the website is excellent as well, with a lot of resources that students can use.

And Elizabeth is very accessible. I emailed her and she emailed right back. So, you can have students comment on her blog, or something like that.

Good luck.

Thanks for posting about this book. I hadn't heard of it otherwise, and it looks interesting--I could see several uses of it in my sociology classes.
