A Great New Online Research Tool on Mass Violence

Via Liberation, the French school of political sciences, Science Po, has launched a free Online Encyclopedia of Mass Violence. The project was spearheaded by Professor Jacques Semelin, who teaches at Science Po and is also Research Director at the Centre d’Etudes et de Recherches Internationales (CERI). Semelin is a specialist in the study of mass violence and genocide.
This encyclopedia is NOT the wikipedia of genocide. It is scholarly work, based on strong theoretical foundations that are described at lengths. It is easily searchable. This should be an absolutely fundamental tool for any research on political mass violence for any student at any level.
The goal here is to adopt a multidisciplinary approach to mass violence and to gather in one place the best scholarly research available. There is a feed available to keep up with the updates.
